A Buki Birthday Bash! (Amara & Havana's 4th & 6th Birthday Celebration!)

For the first time, this year we did the girl's birthday party together (since they are both June Girls). I just didn't have the energy to do two parties and it seemed much easier to have them together. Which ended up working out well. We did end up having lots of friends and family  but hey the more the merrier! And this year we changed things even more so by switching gears from out normally low key birthday celebrations. This time around, we had Buki the Clown as the main event. We have seen her previously at the library a few times and each time we are all left laughing, smiling and just plain ole happy. What better way for kids to enjoy a birthday at the park than to have some of those same feelings? And as usual, Buki did not disappoint. Every kid and every adult loved her. She delighted, mystified with her magic tricks, and giggles could be heard almost the entire show. It was a blast. Thanks to Buki and all of our friends/family for making this year a special birthday for the girls.

 Pizza Time!!

To accommodate the large group
and to put a stop to two sister's feuding over cake decoration, we ended up getting two!
Amara opted for one to match the theme of her party. Havana loved the rainbow. Both wanted them to be chocolate, of course.

And both cakes were devoured

Amara was still uncomfortable being sung too. She wouldn't even pose for pictures or even show her face! It was interesting to see a much more grown up Havana understand what was going on and posing and singing did not seem to scare her but rather she loved the attention!

Uncle Dick cut the cake, under the watchful eye of his niece!

After 3 hours in the park, it was time to call it a night!
