Golden Gate Park Scavanger Hunt

This past weekend members of our Girl Scout troop headed over to Golden Gate Park for a scavenger hunt with our Northern California Council. The day was warm and sunny (thankfully) (the park is frequently covered in a blanket of cold fog) as we walked, skipped and ran through the park looking for the things on our  long list. The girls and parents all worked together to to find things such as a 3 leaf clover, a pine tree with a vine growing on it and a sundial (it was not that easy!) We also had to figure out the answers for riddle questions. Often the kids did better than parents! We didn't find all the things on the list (there were far too many) but we did end our outing with a ride on the carousel (seen in the background here). Everyone had a great time in the park. It was a sweet event out in nature that brought our girls even closer. I just love our little troop and am grateful that the girls get to do fun, educational and new things together.

This photo was taken by Libby (seen above blowing bubbles) who is the baby sister of one of our scouts. She is a teeny tiny little thing would took a great photo!
We finished the day with the friendship circle. Another lovely outing for the Ellerhorst Girl Scouts!
