Solitaire Sister

Havana was feeling a bit left out of playing Solitaire (click here for the story of Amara and Solitaire http://twosmallgems.blogspot.com/2015/03/solitaire.html). I didn't think Havana was developmentally ready to learn the card game. Apparently she didn't think so. For a couple of days she asked me to teach her. Unlike Amara, I let her watch me play on the Kindle first, explaining to her how the game works and letting her help with some moves. I guess she didn't quite like the Kindle version because the very next day she found the deck of cards and asked to play 'the real card way.' And so we did.

Havana was not as quick as understanding the ascending and descending order but she is only 5. With some gentle prompting she caught on fairly well and was ever so proud of herself.
