Girl Scout Sock Hop

What a fun night we had with members of our Daisy Troop! Our Girl Scout Council put on a Sock Hop at the Pinole Senior Center and the girls danced the night away! Well, for our Daisies it was more like run non-stop around the room for hours, but still, it was a blast for them! My Co-leader, Nancy and Nicole, another mom in our troop, were astounded how much non-stop energy those girls had in them! I was exhausted just watching them! But our faces had constant smiles as we saw  the enjoyment they were having.

I also got a kick seeing many of the girls dressed up from that era and shaking their thing to the music of an era long gone! Eventually the DJ brought the girls up through the decades musically and the Scouts continued on till it was time to go home.

A dance with Papa

This was about when Havana was petering out. The volume of the music eventually became too much for her.

Nancy learning the Macarena!

The girls ended the night by dancing around the room in the hula hoop back to their shoes! I think they would have continued on if they could! (that little blondie in blue is Libby, another honorary member of our troop. We love having little siblings join in on the fun!)
