A Daisy Trip to the Pinole Fire House

Waiting!
Our Daisy Troop made a visit this week to our local Fire Station. My intention was to have the girls begin to learn about fire safety, something that is very important to know about. I also wanted the girls to have a chance to see the firetrucks up close. Our visit provided both of those things for our girls.

Fireman Rob as he begins his tour.

Learning about kitchen safety.

The fire pole. Havana got scared by it so I had to hold her. She thought she was going to have to go down.
So different than her big sister who wanted to slide down.

Visiting the sleeping quarters.  We learned that the men do 48 hour shifts. They are not allowed to leave the station during that time period.

Here the girls learned about smoke detectors and Stop, Drop & Roll.

Reagan takes a turn practicing.

Then Makaiya. No one else wanted to volunteer after that!

All the girls wanted to see inside the truck. Fireman Rob was kind enough to let them go in.

(this is Jeremy, one of the little brothers)

Nicole made yummy homemade chocolate, Daisy Pops, as a thank you. Here the girls are getting ready to give them to Fireman Rob.
