Sandoway House

We took a drive to Delray Beach to visit Sandoway House ( check out http://www.sandowayhouse.org/), a quaint nature museum located in a historic building just across the street from the ocean. Since Amara is missing a week of school, I planned several outings that are educational. Sandoway House was a perfect field trip! We saw one of the largest shell collections in the world, and got up close with fish, turtles, and nurse shark. There was a lab room with microcope where both girls got to see things feathers and skins followed by written exercise.

Sandoway House is small but packed with wonderful learning  about sea life.

Digging for fossils.
