We took a drive to Delray Beach to visit Sandoway House ( check out
http://www.sandowayhouse.org/), a quaint nature museum located in a historic building just across the street from the ocean. Since Amara is missing a week of school, I planned several outings that are educational. Sandoway House was a perfect field trip! We saw one of the largest shell collections in the world, and got up close with fish, turtles, and nurse shark. There was a lab room with microcope where both girls got to see things feathers and skins followed by written exercise.
Sandoway House is small but packed with wonderful learning about sea life.
