Kaikuaʻana and Kaikaina at the Beach (Haupana)

 





They love. They fight. They love. They annoy each other. They rely on each other. Kaikuahine (siblings/sisters)

The girls have gotten so much closer due to this pandemic. Sure, it's hard being so close everyday. No one thought they'd share a classroom again but there they are in their classroom in the backyard. They get competitive about space and sound. They fight about who gets to pick a show. But mostly they look to each other for support, reassurance and love.

During our time on the Big Island, it was very more clear how these two small gems depend on each other. They like their alone time. They have their own independent and unique interests but they truly like each other and enjoy each others company. What a gift they have in each other.
