Waiting! |
Our Daisy Troop made a visit this week to our local Fire Station. My intention was to have the girls begin to learn about fire safety, something that is very important to know about. I also wanted the girls to have a chance to see the firetrucks up close. Our visit provided both of those things for our girls.

Learning about kitchen safety. |
The fire pole. Havana got scared by it so I had to hold her. She thought she was going to have to go down.
So different than her big sister who wanted to slide down. |
Visiting the sleeping quarters. We learned that the men do 48 hour shifts. They are not allowed to leave the station during that time period. |
Here the girls learned about smoke detectors and Stop, Drop & Roll. |
Reagan takes a turn practicing. |
Then Makaiya. No one else wanted to volunteer after that! |
All the girls wanted to see inside the truck. Fireman Rob was kind enough to let them go in.

Nicole made yummy homemade chocolate, Daisy Pops, as a thank you. Here the girls are getting ready to give them to Fireman Rob. |
