Some of our Daisy troop joined other Daisies for a hike up in the hills above Kennsington. We started out with instructions and a brief overview of what to expect. Then we headed up the trail.
Here are thhe girls, sort of listening, to Libro talk about the importance of
picking up trash, staying on the trail, and how to avoid poison oak.

Havana loves being an honorary Girl Scout. So much so that she forget she doesn't like hiking! |

It wouldn't be an East Bay morning without the fog! Yet the misty blanket that covered us made the hills feel magical. Libro and Dark Moon told the girls to look out for fairies, although it would be hard to see them in the daylight. |

Don and one other dad joined us for the hike. We loved having them with us. |
The Daisy hike was a great success. Being outdoors, learning out to walk in balance on the earth, meeting both old and new friends was the perfect ingredients for what turned out to be the highlight of our week. Thanks to Libro and Dark Moon! We hope to do this again soon.
