Hidden way up in the hills of Kaneohe, is a trail called Friendship Garden. Finding the secluded location was part of the fun of this family friendly hike, which provided us a spectacular view of the coast on the north eastern side of Oahu. The thick rain forest, with its canopy and bright flowers sheltered us from the sun during the fairly steep hike up. The girls managed the hike up without a problem and from my research this hike is popular amoungst families with small children. The whole hike takes an hour which was perfect for these little people. And as always, being out in nature,is such a soothing, enriching experience.
