Comida

Comida means eat in Spanish.
And eat we did! From kettle corn, Argentine style, to cherries that our cousin Charly grew, to empanadas (which vary in taste depending on who made them and their filling), to helado (ice cream), fresh fruit and more. Havana tried ravioli with spinach, which was a first and then she had pasta with red sauce, another first. We tried too many varieties of pizza and pasta to count and Don had his fill of carne.  Up in the lake region we had trucha (trout) which was delicious, while in Buenos Aires we dined at a Hare Krishna restaurant (vegan). And I can't forget the chocolate! Thankfully we also did a lot of walking to burn off all the calories we ingested. My best friend Bob says I photograph everything. It's true so the foods we enjoyed were also captured by my lens!

Luvey, Ellie and LL enjoyed good meals too!

Hare Krishna!

We discovered banana trees up in Puetro Iquazu. The girls were excited to see where bananas come from.

The BEST ice cream we ever tasted was in Argentina. We went to about four ice cream shops during our trip; each place had it's own style. On our last day in BA we hit the helado (ice cream) jackpot. Oh my....

Tofu; Amara and I found cooked tofu, sold by the kilo in Chinatown! Yum!

Each bakery had similar items but some had better products. All were delicious!
