The Eucalyptus Fairy

Our friend Alissa recently shared with us the legend of the Eucalyptus Fairy which she passed on from her friend Bela. Apparently, on the full moon if a child puts a Eucalyptus seed in water the the Eucalyptus Fairy will show up on the full moon. The children may not see her but she makes her presence known.  TheEucalyptus Fairy has shown up at Justin's house with poems, treats and a few natural treasures.

The night we were given seeds by Mama Alissa, Amara and Havana eagerly put their seeds in a cup of water before bedtime. I was skeptical but then, over the next two days both girls were left with poems and notes about kindness. Amara was especially delighted as she loves fairies. Havana was excited with the note left under her blanket and kept looking about the house signs of her presence!

Another option we recently learned from Justin and his mama is to plant seeds. So on a visit with them the kids got to planting. 

With the full moon upon us, it will be exciting to see what the Eucalyptus Fairy has in store for the girls in Pinole!

 This is the first note to the kids (I missed that one!) after putting a seed in water.

Today, can you color a picture of the crescent moon with her family of stars for someone special and leave it for them as a gift?
I know your picture will be so beautiful!

Small Acts of Kindness

Good evening dear Name of Child,

So much time has passed since we last met,

I have missed you and am excited to share some news!

But first, tell me, did you enjoy planting your flowering seedJ?

How did it feel to dig your hands into Mother Nature’s soil?

She has given us so much, and you know what she said to me?

She said, “Oh, I am so very happy!

Dear Name of Child planted my tummy with Name of SeedsJ.

Now I just can’t wait to offer its nectar to Butterfly!”

Do you remember Butterfly?

Afraid of Change, she was hiding in her Cocoon

Now are you ready for the big news?

Well, she heard through a grape vine that a sweet child named _______ was helping to create delicious nectar just for her! 

Butterfly couldn’t believe that someone would care so much about her.

Your small act of love gave Butterfly all the courage she needed to finally come out of her cocoon!

You see Name of Child, no act of kindness is ever wasted,

No matter how small it is, anything you do with love will be felt by someone or something.

As your fairy friend, can I ask you to make a promise?

(You can say this out loud with your child!) “No act of kindness is ever wasted, no matter how small. Anything I do with love will make a difference.”

Please don’t ever forget that!

Now dear one, I must be one my way.

I am scheduled to have a cup of tea with Butterfly!

She can’t wait to meet you one day soon.

But first Butterfly has much to learn about the World

Along the way, she will make many new friends,

And she will tell all of them about You and how Wonderful you Truly Are!

The next time we meet,

I will tell you all about Rose, who is Butterfly’s new friend.

Through Rose Butterfly learned about the Simplicity of BeingJ.

We meet again dear One!
What a delight, what Fun!

With your Love, you broke the Spell
Because of your Wonder I am free to ring my Bells
I can Flip in the air, Twirl all around, and Flap my Wings,
To my Heart's content, I can Play a tune and merrily Sing!!!

I hope one wonderful Day
You and I can Play and Dance the Ballet!
You can Whirl and Twirl and Spin on your Toes!
And I will join you, my wings covered in Bows:)

Until then, I leave you a special Story
It's all about the Moon in all its Glory
You see, only once a month is the Moon all Round
And what a celebration, its beauty is without Bounds!

On all the other Days
Does the Moon feel dismayed?
For shining only half of her Essence
And offering only a quarter of her Presence?

Of course not and you know Why?
Because the Moon knows that she Tries!

On days when she's not full and Bright
And the sky is dark Late at Night
All the Stars sparkle even More
In their shimmery light, the Moon's spirit Soars!

With her family of stars, the Moon has complete Trust
That once again she will be Full and Round
And then she will Sprinkle her magic moon Dust
On special girls named Amara and Havana that she will have Found:)

So now it's time to close your Eyes
Until its time for the Sister Sun to Rise
I will visit you again as the Eucalyptus Fairy
And bring you sweet Berries and a red Cherry!

Until that time when the Moon is Round
I will leave you notes, waiting to be Found!

There is another note but I don't seem to have that one. It doesn't really matter though. It's the idea that counts. With one child who loves fairies (hand made fairy house build by Amara and Don to come next post) and another who is so imaginative, this is a great thing to do with the girls. But any child would love it!
